VIVIENNE HSU

Vivienne Hsu is founder and CEO of LENDonate, a unique marketplace lending and donation platform where nonprofits and supporters leverage their collective power for the greater good. With over 20 years of financial services experience and considered an expert in her field, she has appeared in numerous interviews on CNBC and Bloomberg TV and is frequently quoted in national publications, including The Wall Street Journal and Kiplinger. Most importantly, she is passionate about strategic philanthropy and sustainable investment. Prior to being a social entrepreneur, Vivienne was investment executive at U.S. Trust, Charles Schwab Investment Management and American Century Investments. Rounding out her experience was financial risk modeling at MSCI Barra, and pension actuarial work on retirement plans. She received an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, where she also received an undergraduate degree in applied mathematics. She is a CFA® charterholder. Additionally, Vivienne is a consistent volunteer leader in nonprofit organizations whose roles include board member, development director and fundraising campaign director.

MEENA SANKARAN

Meena Sankaran is the Founder and Executive Director of PRERNA, a non-profit organization focused on empowering refugees in the Bay Area to help them become self-sustainable, productive members of society. Meena started as an independent volunteer, concentrating on this cause in 2006 in Arizona. For over 10 years, she built PRERNA into a successful program by working qualitatively as the only refugee service provider in the U.S. with the intent to making refugees independent through continual support over a duration of time. PRERNA achieved 501(c)3 status in 2015 while kick starting efforts in Silicon Valley. The non-profit currently serves around 150+ new refugees in California and supports refugees settled by PRERNA previously in Arizona, Ohio and New York.
